Details

2LK approached RenderHeads to create an augmented reality application for HSBC to showcase their sustainable finance initiatives. Instead of taking the usual approach to having small AR markers, the exhibit centred on a large table with a 3d printed city all in white. Using spatial detection, the iPad Pro’s running the application, revealed the colour and detail of the city on the screen, including animation of traffic, pedestrians and the underground train station.

Originally designed for a one-off showing at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the exhibit was successful enough that I was fortunate to travel with it to further international shows in Hong Kong, Montreal and Dubai.
