Brief

Metavoidal started as an internal project at RenderHeads, where the primary goal was to learn about what it takes to get a game released. Initially it was a six month project, but our team got excited and we very quickly realised that we’d accidentally made a good game so decided to back it further to ensure give to properly unlock the fun and mayhem that was apparent from early development.

Details

Metavoidal is a 2D pixel art, action rogue-lite game where music determines your abilities, and your abilities shape the dynamic metal soundtrack. Play as a drummer and escape the clutches of an eldritch metal band… or die trying! A dark, lovecraftian narrative that’s packed full of music industry tropes and jokes.

• NAVIGATE THE CHURCH overrun with corrupted fans & unimaginable horrors.
• LEVEL UP YOUR DRUMMING SKILLS by proving yourself and unlocking new techniques.
